Izotope iris 211/13/2023 Each just pointed the finger at the other and called the matter closed with no progress. I've already tried support tickets with both Presonus and Izotope. I tried Omnisphere and it's nice but it's frustrating that you can't just drag and drop audio files for immediate use and there's no spectral map (at least in the version I tried).Ä«reakTweaker exhibits the same behavior which is annoying but I don't really use it as much. What I really love about Iris 2 is the ability to draw in the sections of audio I want included in the spectral map and the ease of use of so many LFOs, macros, effects, etc all in one place. The problem only happens going from VST inst to VST inst, not between Iris 2 and an audio track. The delay is around 5 seconds which, while not completely horrible is enough to make me want to avoid Iris 2 for workflow reasons. I absolutely LOVE Iris 2 and the only weirdness I get with that one is that, if the instrument viewer window is open, navigating between arranger tracks is laggy when I switch to an Iris 2 track from another instrument track or vice versa. That said, one thing that has always frustrated me is that Izotope instruments like BreakTweaker and Iris 2 have various weird performance issues that are not present in standalone mode nor in any other DAW I've tried. You can even leave the iris 2 instrument editor windows open, it's great! Then, delete the other instrument, Iris 2 will remain nested within the multi and the problem will be gone. All you have to do is add Iris 2 to your arrangement, then drag any instrument on top of it and choose "combine". Multiple pinned instances begins to get cluttered and confusing. Someone suggested pinning Iris, which was effective, but only if you have a single instance of Iris. If you nest Iris 2 inside of a multi-instrument in Studio One, the problem disappears. EDIT: For anyone who finds this down the line, I have stumbled upon a workaround that completely solves the issue.
